PBA Solutions marked its 30th anniversary this year – three decades of supporting landowners, developers, contractors and public-sector clients with specialist guidance rooted in technical knowledge and practical field experience. From its origins as a family-run arboricultural consultancy to its present role as a multidisciplinary provider of tree management, invasive-species control and root-barrier solutions, the company has continued to evolve while remaining committed to quality, integrity and evidence-based practice.
Arboriculture – at the Heart of It All
Arboriculture formed the foundation of PBA Solutions when the business was established, and it continues to underpin the way we assess sites, understand constraints and shape long-term management plans.

Spreading tree roots
Whether advising on root-zone protection, supporting planning applications or guiding tree-related works on development sites, our approach remains firmly rooted in a respect for trees, soil systems and the wider landscape. Over 30 years, arboriculture has not only shaped our services but has informed our values and the technical standards we apply across the business.
Invasive Species – Early Adopters and Industry Contributors
PBA Solutions has been involved in invasive-species work long before formal guidance became widespread. In 2012, we became one of the founding members of the Property Care Association’s Invasive Weed Control Group (IWCG) – a group established to raise professionalism, share evidence and support safe, consistent working practices across the industry.

Since then, we have delivered surveys, management plans, excavation and remediation works, containment measures and long-term monitoring programmes. Our involvement with Japanese knotweed, bamboo and other aggressive plants has shaped a rigorous, practical and science-led methodology that continues to support property professionals, local authorities, infrastructure providers and homeowners.

Root Barrier Store – Growth, Innovation and the Largest Expansion to Date
The newest part of the PBA group, Root Barrier Store, evolved from the former Root Barrier Systems and has grown rapidly since launch. Sales have increased year on year, supported by a strong trade customer base and a clear focus on reliable, installation-tested products.
In 2025, Root Barrier Store has undergone its largest range expansion since launch, adding new geocellular confinement systems, Terram geotextiles and a broader selection of root-protection and invasive-weed solutions.
